Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.’s 31st General President Brother Harry E. Johnson, Sr. has been elected Grand Sire Archon-Elect of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity (The Boulé) during the organization’s 58th Grand Boule in Dallas, Texas. The Boulé is the oldest graduate-level African American Greek-letter organization.

A distinguished attorney, businessman, philanthropist, and public servant, Brother Johnson currently serves as President and CEO of the Memorial Project Foundation, the organization responsible for building the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington, DC.

During his tenure as General President, Brother Johnson championed initiatives that advanced economic empowerment across the fraternity. His leadership emphasized entrepreneurship, franchise ownership opportunities, and the establishment of “value-added services” partnerships designed to deliver increased benefits to the membership.

Prior to serving as General President, Brother Johnson served as the fraternity’s General Counsel and as Regional Vice President of the Southwestern Region. His election places him in historic company—joining 27th General President Charles C. Teamer of New Orleans, Louisiana as one of only two past General Presidents to later serve as Grand Sire Archon of Sigma Pi Phi, as well as continuing the lineage of several past Grand Sire Archons who are members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
