The Detroit Alphas host The 93rd Midwest Regional Convention
Detroits Local 4 news highlighted The 93rd Midwestern Regional Convention of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. The Brothers began in Detroit with a week of community service centered on education and mentorship. Marking March as Reading Month, the fraternity launched its “Read to Succeed” initiative at Emerson and Dossin Elementary-Middle Schools, where dozens of members read to students, donated 200 books, and dedicated new reading benches. With an anticipated 1,500 fraternity brothers attending from across 12 states and Canada, the event highlighted the organization’s core commitment to scholarship, leadership, and service, emphasizing that they are a social/service organization focused on actively guiding youth and giving back to the community.
