The Detroit Alphas Member Portal is the secure way for brothers to access private chapter information and pay chapter dues. To access these secure pages, you will need to sign in to the portal using your email address and password. Once you have registered and signed in, you will have access to the following private pages:

• Chapter Lineage – a listing of all brothers initiated through the Gamma Lambda Chapter since 1920.
• My Profile – your personal information, contact information, and site preferences
• Chapter Documents – meeting minutes, meeting decks, chapter newsletters and other historical documents
• Events Calendar – public and private events
• Join Committee – a listing of chapter committees with an interest form
• Member Directory – the directory of chapter members
  NOTE: This directory is available to Financial Members only

Prior Year Financial Members

If you were a Financial Member during the last three fraternal years, your information has already been loaded into the portal. Follow these steps to access and update your user profile:

1. Go to https://detroitalphas.org
2. Click Member Portal > Member Portal Sign In
3. If you do not know your password, click Request Password
4. Enter your Email, then click Request Password
   NOTE: An email with a temporary password will be sent to your email address. If you get a message “No account found with this email address” your email was not found and you will need to create a new account (see below).
5. Once you have your temporary password, go to Member Portal > My Profile. Enter your Email and Password and sign in.
6. On the Profile screen, the first thing you should do is change your password. Click Change under Password near the bottom of your profile.
7. After changing your password, you should update your profile to ensure that your contact and personal information is up to date. Review the information on the first screen, then click Save & Continue.
8. On the second profile screen you will enter your personal and fraternal information. You also have the option to add a profile picture, short bio, and site preferences. Once you finish, click Save & Continue.

New Account / Account Not Found

If you do not have an existing account, you will need to register as a new member. You will see three options when you register:

• Financial Member: You are paying your 2023-24 chapter dues with a credit card. This option will give you full access to the site after your account is confirmed.
• Financial Member (Offline Payment): You plan to pay your 2023-24 chapter dues by check, cash or CashApp. This option will give you limited access to the site until your full dues payment has been received.
• Non-Financial Member: You plan to pay your 2023-24 chapter dues at a later time. This option will give you limited access to the site.

Follow these steps to register and create your user profile:

1. Go to https://detroitalphas.org
2. Click Member Portal > Pay Chapter Dues / Register
3. Enter your name (last name first) and contact information
4. Enter your Email and Password (this will become your login)
5. Select your membership level, the click Pay Dues or Register.
   NOTE: If you select Financial Member, you will enter your credit card information. You have the option to make a one-time payment, or to auto renew each year.
6. On the second profile screen you will enter your personal and fraternal information. You also have the option to add a profile picture, short bio, and site preferences. Once you finish, click Save & Continue.
7. After you submit your registration, it will need to be approved by the site administrator. This will ensure that only duly initiated members of the fraternity have access to the private content.

Member Portal Access

Once you have an approved account, you can sign in and visit secure pages. If you visit a secure page and you are not signed in, you will be prompted to sign in.

Pay Chapter Dues

Once you have an account, you will see the option to Renew, Upgrade or Update Billing when you visit the Pay Chapter Dues / Register page or the My Profile page. If you need to make an offline payment, please reach out to the Financial Secretary using the contact form.

Add a Website Shortcut to Your Home Screen

iPhone

1. Launch “Safari” app.
2. Go to the Detroit Alphas website.
3. Tap the Share icon and tap Add to Home Screen.
4. Rename the shortcut to Detroit Alphas.

Android

1. Launch “Chrome” app.
2. Go to the Detroit Alphas website.
3. Tap the menu icon (3 dots in upper right-hand corner) and tap Add to homescreen.
4. Rename the shortcut to Detroit Alphas.

Subscribe to Events Calendar on a Mobile Device

If you would like to see the public chapter events on your mobile device, you can subscribe to the calendar feed. Events will be automatically added to your calendar as they are added to the site. To subscribe to the chapter calendar:

1. Go to the Events page on your mobile device
2. Click the Subscribe button
   Note: If you don’t see the Subscribe button, you might need to rotate your phone to landscape orientation.
3. Click Add to your default device calendar, then confirm any prompts.
4. You should now see public chapter events on your calendar.
   Note: To view private events, like chapter or committee meetings, you must log in to the Member Portal.
