Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. establishes new leadership institute and student residence at Cornell University

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., continues to advances its legacy with a major development at Cornell University. The new Alpha Phi Alpha Leadership Institute and Student Residence establishes a dynamic space for leadership training and student development at the fraternity’s historic birthplace. This initiative was made possible through the generosity of Bro. Robert F. Smith, billionaire investor and founder of Vista Equity Partners, who donated a 9,000-square-foot Cornell property he purchased in 2023. The institute offers opportunities in mentorship, academic support, and networking for African American students and aspiring leaders. By contributing to Cornell’s campus and future generations, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity upholds its tradition of excellence in education and empowerment. This milestone not only honors the fraternity’s roots but also strengthens its impact in higher education, community engagement, and leadership development nationwide.
