March of Dimes

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation began working collaboratively in 1980. The annual fundraising campaign that the Gamma Lambda Chapter supports is the March of Dimes March for Babies. More than just a walk, the March for Babies helps lift up communities for health equity and opens the door for all moms to have access to care and protect the health of families through advocacy. The chapter sets a goal each year to raise $10,000 for the March of Dimes.
